Congress Participants


The congress is directed towards professionals and scholars, as well as to students and graduates attending specialization courses, in the fields of architecture and landscaping, civil planning and engineering, architectural conservation, structural strengthening, restoration, mathematics, anthropology, philosophy, history and history of art, preservation of cultural heritage and heritage tourism and education. It will also be of interest to enterprises and firms working towards the conservation of historic monuments.

The promoters of “Domes in the World” have decided to make the congress accessible to the general public who can take advantage of the diffused knowledge from the scientific community. The congress’ international and interdisciplinary character and its orientation in promoting cultural diversity and traditional knowledge are all in accordance with the principles of the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation’s umbrella project “Life Beyond Tourism®” which promotes intercultural dialogue and tourism based on values, not just consumer services.

The event will also be accessible to a public of “non specialists” interested in the themes of “Domes in the World”, who may take advantage of the knowledge diffused by the scientific experts. This choice has been made by the organizers due to the importance of the congress subject, its international and interdisciplinary character, its orientation in promoting cultural diversity and traditional knowledge which are all in accordance with the principles of the project Life Beyond Tourism® which promotes intercultural dialogue and tourism based on values, not just consumer services.

The selected scientific contributions (papers and posters) come from 28 Countries of 5 Continents.
